Simon, AKA Calliet's Nubians Black Knight is from a breeding between Krissy,Ch Krystal Black Pearl of Calliet Pugs, and Funny Farm's Colby. When we agreed to bring Simon on board and into our breeding program,we did so with the understanding that he would be a good foundation line for our breeding program. Unfortunately the dams owner broke the stud agreement which was to give the stud owner Lisa of Funny Farm Pugs PICK of the litter before anything occurred with any of the puppies in this litter. Simon was brought to us from Canada without the Stud owners knowledge,or her agreement of pick of the litter being satisfied. When we found out that Ms Calliet was bringing him to us under these circumstances we wanted NOTHING to do with the dishonesty from the dam owner, and asked to be fully refunded of the $2000 we had already wired into her account. She refused to give a FULL refund and instead cold called us and brought the puppy in the PM on February 13, 2008. We contacted our lawyer before Simon was delivered to our doorstep. He informed us that if we did not want to forfeit all of our money and allow this breeder to get away with two crimes that we had better accept this puppy. We had NO idea that Simon was going to come to us a very sick little puppy and that we were going to have to spend the amount we did to get him well from parisites, giardia, and residual kennel cough confirmed by our vet within 14 hours of his arrival at our home. It was a complete and utter NIGHTMARE! After a 2 year long law suit the judge finally ruled in our favor. This ruling let us out of our contract with the dam owner (which gave her breeding rights to our pug!!) She made us sign this contract under duress or she would not allow us posession of the puppy which we had paid for without the option of a full refund This contract was NEVER a part of our original agreement and was ONLY brought to us after the dam owner had our money in her hands. In this contract she allowed herself breeding rights to our dog and she "tried" to let herself off of the hook with the medical issues that we endured with this puppy stating that she was not responsible for its health after delivery of the puppy (RED FLAG WARNING)! We are happy to have this end and have learned a great deal about the ethics and values of this breeder and those who are linked with her. If ONLY we had followed our intuition on this person we would NOT have had to endure what we have gone through, but we love our Simon. We have learned very valuable lessons in regards to the unethical behavior that Anne -Marie Caillet has continued to display. She still has not settled or paid anything to date. She lost the arbitration the JUDGEMENT WAS FOR THE PLAINTIFF!!! |
